Natalie from Earthshine collecting the Eat In, Innovation Award

The Eat In Awards 2012. This is the first time a raw food product has won a national (or maybe any) food awards in South Africa, up against numerous artisan foods from across the country.

Natalie from Earthshine is shocked to find she has won her category, ‘Innovation Award’ for Earthshine’s Kale Chips. “For being exceptionally innovative, developed with care and consideration for the environment, and grown in South Africa or made with South African produce.”

Natalie received her award from TV presenter and foodie personality Jenny Morris.
The day was accompanied by a great market with all the nominees and winners having stands of their produce, a perfect summers day!

I ordered online the next day I could pick up from the factory, which is really hard to find - but once you do 🤩my packet was wrapped in Christmas themed paper - so sweet and I had presents in it as well.
