Cordyceps has been a key component in Eastern herbal practices, valued for promoting physical performance and overall vitality. Traditional uses include:

As these mushrooms are artisinally grown locally in the Western Cape, we are able to confirm they are grown on a high quality substrate, in this case sorghum, which is a gluten free, nutrient dense, ancient grain.
The powder itself is comprised of around 65-70% fruiting bodies and then the rest from the fully myceliated sorghum. No ‘steam activation’ is done, as not required for this species. A deep freeze process is used to break down the cell structures, then gentle air drying at low temperatures, before milling in small batches. We believe that the inclusion of fully myceliated substrate increases the nutritional profile of this product.
